I've e-mailed everyone, but here's the info again. Let us know if you're coming.
What: Training Reunion/First Practicum Meeting
When: Wed. September 12, 3:00 - 5:00 PM
Where: MRI's offices at 1695 Main Street (2nd fl)
Who: Anyone who attended the Springfield Training
Consider this a reunion meeting for training participants and an open house for the upcoming Practicum. It will be an opportunity for all of us to reconnect, talk about how the training has effected us personally and professionally, and how we've handled issues of gender inequality and violence in the past months.
We will also allocate time to brainstorm about the practicum, discuss our vision for how it will be structured, and listen to ideas that are already cooking.
After this first meeting, those who are interested in continuing with the Practicum will be asked to make a commitment to meet for 3 to 4 hours, once a month for 6 months.
Please RSVP to info@mensresourcesinternational.org or give me, Jorge or James a call at 413.214.6797.
Hope to see you soon,
Daniel
P.S. Here is the original write up we did about the Practicum to refresh your memory:
Put your new ideas, skill, and strategies into action!
MRI is offering a 6-month practicum for a select group of training participants. This is an opportunity to continue your professional development and receive continued support, consultations, and technical assistance as you implement or integrate a men's initiative in a personal, professional, or community setting.
The content of the Practicum will be tailored to individual and group goals and priorities, but we will require a commitment to monthly 3- to 4-hour sessions over the course of 6 months.
MRI will provide scholarships to cover the anticipated cost per participant.
